The High Peak Hunt country lies between Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne in the Peak District of Derbyshire. It’s predominantly a stone-wall and grass country with some lovely old turf, and is generally more than 1,000 feet above sea level. A good strong, yet careful jumping horse is required to follow these stud book harriers in full cry.

The Masters and all who hunt are deeply grateful to everyone who allows them to cross their land, enabling them to enjoy the thrill of following hounds in one of the most naturally beautiful hunting countries in England.

At all times the High Peak Harriers intends to hunt within the law, performing legal activities permitted within the restrictions of the Hunting Act 2004.
